The story so far...
Triumph and tragedy strike the members and alumni of New Directions. Coming off the failure of her TV pilot, Rachel returns to Lima and looks to revive New Directions, going over Sue's head to do it and seeking guidance from Will, who's now coaching Vocal Adrenaline. Meanwhile, Blaine takes a job as coach of the Warblers after he and Kurt break off their engagement

Rachel and Kurt enlist their fellow alumni to recruit new members for the glee club during Homecoming celebrations at McKinley. At Dalton, a girl named Jane attempts to break tradition and join the all-male Warblers

As the newest generation of New Directions take shape, the group explores the music of Carole King and Alanis Morrisette in a unique mash-up assignment. Santana and Brittany take their relationship to the next level, Becky suffers with boy trouble and Shannon experiences a personal crisis

In yet another attempt to demoralize New Directions, Sue invites Vocal Adrenaline and the Warblers to participate in an invitational performance, and also hypnotizes Sam to do her evil bidding... including luring Rachel into a relationship and messing with Will

Sue resorts to unorthodox methods in an attempt to get Blaine and Kurt back together such as getting them stuck in an elevator. Kitty helps Rachel find songs for the invitational performance, and Sam tries to recruit Spencer into the glee club

During a tribute week dedicated to the music of Burt Bacharach, Brittany and Santana have a lot of convincing to do for their families to accept their engagement, while Mercedes returns to Ohio in a bid to convince Rachel to re-ignite her Broadway dreams

When Vocal Adrenaline's bullying goes too far, Will seeks to teach his team about tolerance. Coach Beiste returns to McKinley as a man after her surgery. And when Rachel's childhood home is sold, the glee club rallies around her to help her transition into her new life

The gleeks prepare to celebrate the wedding of Brittany and Santana, but the two brides are conflicted over whether or not to invite Sue. Encouraging words from friends and family inspire newly re-formed couple Kurt and Blaine to take a leap of faith, and Tina decides to ask Mike to marry her

A very high-strung, demanding tween makes the request that New Directions perform at his bar mitzvah, and it's up to the team to unite to make their first public performance a success. Spencer, meanwhile, tries to talk Roderick into losing weight and Mason longs to break free from his twin's controlling ways

When Dalton Academy burns down to the ground, the Warblers and New Directions must come together to form a super-group. Meanwhile, Rachel tries to convince Carmen Tibideaux (Whoopi Goldberg) to let her return to NYADA, dark secrets are revealed about Sue and the McKinley team receives some devastating news

The fate of all arts programs at McKinley rests in the hands of the New Directions-Warblers supergroup as they take on Vocal Adrenaline at sectionals in their toughest battle yet. Rachel is faced with a tough decision: go back to NYADA or star in a Broadway show opposite ex-boyfriend Jesse St. James (Jonathan Groff)
